Terms, Conditions & Policies

At Unity Strength & Wellness, we are committed to providing high-quality, structured training in a calm, clean, and supportive environment. Please review the following terms, conditions, and policies carefully.

 

1. Training & Membership Policy

Memberships & Payments

  • All memberships are non-refundable once purchased.

  • Memberships are paid via monthly standing order.

  • A minimum of 30 days’ notice is required to cancel a membership.

 

Why We Use Standing Orders

 

Unity Strength & Wellness operates as a private, coached training space, not a drop-in gym. Standing orders allow us to:

  • Allocate consistent weekly training slots fairly

  • Plan coaching time and studio capacity in advance

  • Maintain a calm, uncrowded, and supportive environment

  • Avoid overbooking and last-minute disruption

  • Focus on coaching quality rather than payment administration

 

Standing orders provide members with clarity, consistency, and priority access, while allowing Unity to maintain a high standard of service for all clients.

 

What happens if I can’t use a session due to illness or holiday?

If you’re unable to attend a session due to illness or a pre-planned holiday, unused sessions included in your standing order may be gifted to a friend or family member, subject to availability and prior arrangement.

This ensures sessions aren’t wasted while keeping the studio schedule fair and consistent.

 

Holiday Pauses (Standing Orders)

  • Holiday pauses are managed by temporarily stopping your standing order.

  • We ask that pauses are limited to no more than two per calendar year, and typically no longer than one month at a time, to ensure fairness and consistent scheduling.

  • A minimum of 14 days’ notice is required for any planned pause.

  • During a pause, no sessions accrue, roll over, or carry forward.

  • Standing orders must be restarted at the agreed date in order to resume training.

 

Please note: excessive or repeated pauses may require a review of membership suitability.

 

Session Usage

  • Sessions included in a monthly membership must be used within that calendar month.

  • Unused sessions do not roll over or accumulate.

 

Session Swaps (1:1 to Semi-Private)

  • One unused 1:1 Personal Training credit may be exchanged for one semi-private training session (maximum 5 clients).

  • Swaps must take place within the same calendar month the credit was issued.

  • Swaps are subject to availability and scheduling.

 

Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a session.

  • Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be deducted from your membership or block.

  • No-shows without notice are non-refundable and counted as a completed session.

 

Exceptional Circumstances

In cases of serious illness, injury, or other exceptional circumstances, please contact us as soon as possible. Adjustments or extensions may be considered at the discretion of Unity Strength & Wellness.

 

2. Studio Conduct

 

To ensure Unity remains a clean, safe, and supportive environment for all members:

  • All sessions must be self-booked via the booking system.

  • Please arrive on time and keep to your allocated slot.

  • Clean indoor training shoes are required.

 

Clean Shoes Policy (Important)

​

  • Shoes worn outdoors may be worn inside the studio only if they are clean, dry, and free from mud or debris.

  • If shoes are dirty, wet, or unsuitable, they must be removed and left in the hallway before entering the studio.

  • Clients are encouraged to bring a separate clean pair of training shoes where possible.

If the studio floor is left dirty, muddy, or unsafe due to footwear:

  • The session may be ended up to 15 minutes early to allow cleaning before the next client.

  • This will be counted as a completed session.

This policy is in place to protect hygiene, safety, and fairness for all members training after you.

 

Toilet Use & Ventilation

​

  • The on-site toilet is available for hand washing and short use (e.g. number 1s).

  • Due to limited ventilation, it is not suitable for extended use.

  • For anything requiring longer use, public toilets at Morrisons are approximately a 3-minute walk away.

 

Additional Conduct Guidelines

​

  • Please bring a towel.

  • Wipe down equipment after use with the provided cleaning materials.

  • Respect shared spaces within the studio.

  • No unbooked guests or animals are permitted.

  • Antisocial behaviour will result in immediate termination of membership without refund.

  • Clients must inform coaches of any injuries or health concerns.

  • All training is undertaken at your own risk. Please consult your GP if you are unsure of your health status.

 

3. Parking

 

The Yard, Hastings, Waterworks Rd, Hastings TN34 1RT

  • On-site parking at The Yard is limited and operates on a first-come basis.

  • Morrisons Car Park is a short walk (approximately 3 minutes) and is the recommended parking option for most clients.

  • Please ensure you comply with any parking restrictions and time limits.

 

Unity Strength & Wellness cannot accept responsibility for parking fines or enforcement.

 

4. Website & Legal Terms

 

Use of Website

 

You agree to use this website for lawful purposes only and must not transmit harmful or unlawful content.

Intellectual Property

 

All website content, including text, images, logos, and videos, is the property of Unity Strength & Wellness and may not be reproduced or distributed without prior written permission.

 

Memberships & Services

 

Memberships, pricing, and services are subject to change. Unity Strength & Wellness reserves the right to modify or discontinue services at any time.

 

Limitation of Liability

Unity Strength & Wellness is not liable for injuries, losses, or damages arising from training, facility use, or website use. Participation is entirely at your own risk.

 

Privacy

To protect everyone’s privacy, no photos or videos of other members may be taken inside the studio at any time.

If you’d like to take a photo of your own training, please ensure no other clients are visible and ask for permission first.

​

Personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

 

Changes to Terms

 

These terms may be updated at any time. Continued use of services or the website constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
