Calum — Founder & Coach
After losing his dad at a young age, Calum grew up searching for safety and belonging. Weight training gave him strength, confidence, and a sense of control — shaping the vision behind Unity Strength & Wellness: a private gym built on support, resilience, and long-term health, where people feel truly seen and not ignored.

Calum qualified as a trainer at 18 and went on to add counselling, injury prevention, and sports massage to his skill set. Alongside coaching, he built a career in stunt and action stage shows, including performances at the International Security Expo — experiences that deepened his understanding of movement, resilience, and the connection between body and mind.

Over the years, Calum has worked with adults of all ages — from professionals in their 30s to older adults in their 60s and 70s — supporting those managing ADHD, chronic fatigue, injuries, back pain, and joint issues. By blending counselling-based support with strength coaching, he creates tailored programmes that adapt to energy, focus, and recovery needs.

His calm, encouraging style makes Unity a trusted alternative to commercial gyms: a private, distraction-free space where clients can rebuild strength, recover from setbacks, and train with confidence.

This unique background continues to shape his philosophy today: preparing clients not just to look stronger, but to move better, live healthier, and build resilience for life.

Mack - Personal Trainer
Mack’s journey into fitness began from a very different place. At 17, standing 6ft 3 but weighing just 57kg, he felt underweight, insecure, and unsure how to change. Weight training became the turning point — giving him strength, confidence, and structure. Over time, he built himself up to a stable 80kg, transforming both his body and mindset in the process.

That personal transformation inspired Mack to become a coach, driven by the belief that if he could do it, others could too. He went on to gain experience in sports centre management, swim teaching, and lifeguarding — all of which shaped his ability to support people of different ages and abilities in a safe, encouraging way.

Today, as part of Unity Strength & Wellness, Mack works with clients across Hastings, St Leonards, and Bexhill, delivering training that is tailored, patient, and effective. He has particular experience working with older adults and those managing back or joint pain, ensuring every programme adapts to the individual and supports long-term mobility, confidence, and independence.

Mack’s coaching style is supportive, down-to-earth, and practical. His goal is simple: to help people discover what they’re capable of and to show that fitness can be sustainable, enjoyable, and deeply empowering.
