What Makes Unity Strength & Wellness Different
At Unity Strength & Wellness, training is about more than sets and reps — it’s about feeling seen, supported, and confident in your journey. Our approach is built on four pillars of wellness: Physical — Safe, progressive strength training tailored to your body, including back health and joint care. Mental — Coaching that builds confidence, focus, and resilience — particularly valuable if you’re managing challenges such as ADHD or chronic fatigue. Emotional — A calm, private studio where you’re listened to, encouraged, and never treated like just another number. Spiritual — Training that supports a deeper sense of purpose, independence, and self-belief — helping you reconnect with what your body can do. Unlike crowded commercial gyms — where you pay a direct debit and often stop turning up — Unity is built on accountability and progress. When you join, you’re not just paying for access to equipment; you’re investing in coaching, structure, and results you can feel. That’s why Unity is invite-only, specialising in 1:1 coaching for adults aged 30+. You’ll always train in a focused, supportive environment where coaches know your name, your history, and your goals. Every programme is personal. Every session is designed around you. Every step is supported by an experienced coach who understands your background, injuries, and long-term aspirations. We also work closely with trusted local osteopaths and healthcare professionals, allowing for seamless referrals whenever additional support is needed.
How to Join Unity Strength & Wellness
We make the process simple:
1️⃣ Start with a free chat & initial session — we’ll talk through your goals, history, and any injuries, then give you the chance to experience our private space, supportive coaching, and calm environment.
2️⃣ Memberships at Unity are built around 1:1 personal training, with occasional partner or small-group sessions arranged where suitable to support connection and consistency — without compromising individual progress.
Our onboarding process isn’t about volume. It’s about maintaining a calm, respectful training space where every member adds to the culture.
At Unity Strength & Wellness, training isn’t just about workouts. It’s about belonging, accountability, and building a stronger, healthier you in a calm, private environment.
Calum is the founder of Unity Strength & Wellness, with a background in weight training, counselling skills, stunt performance, and assistant directing at the National Security Expo. He combines technical coaching expertise with strong communication, listening, and behavioural-support skills to help clients build strength, confidence, and long-term resilience. With extensive experience supporting adults aged 30+ — including those managing back pain, joint issues, ADHD, or chronic fatigue — Calum adapts every session to match each client’s energy, recovery, and goals, while remaining firmly within the scope of personal training. His results speak for themselves: from helping a gymnast return to lifting after a spinal fracture, to supporting an 80-year-old in coming off daily pain medication by significantly reducing knee joint pain through targeted strength training, to guiding countless clients out of chronic shoulder and back pain. His calm, encouraging style ensures every client feels seen, supported, and capable of lasting progress within a professional, welcoming training environment.
